Sean and Nicholas are getting closer and closer as they work with their respective partners, Jubilee and Kieran. In this tale, they tackle an unusual nemesis, a gay serial killer and the death of someone close to home…

As Kieran and Jubilee struggle with the state of Texas over their desire to adopt Juan, Sean and Nicholas go undercover in an unusual and dangerous assignment, posing as potential boyfriends for Trendon Patrick, a serial killer with a difference. Patrick has a taste for law enforcement types, and counts on their in-the-closet status to stop them from reporting his activities.

When he abducts Sean, he seems to know all his secrets and fears… including the time a pedophile tried to abduct him when he was nine.

Meanwhile, Nicholas has his hands full too, protecting a witness to murder. Except the witness is as wacky as they come. He thinks he's a vampire and insists on being called Prince Vlad…

Book Review

'Autumn Breeze' is book six in the 'Orgasmic Texas Dawn' series and I'm not bored yet. That is saying a lot because I can get bored, easily, and once that happens, I'm done reading. I had a good feeling going into this installment that with all of the excitement of a serial killer and a witness who thinks he's a vampire, I was going to remain entranced.

Sean, Nicholas, Jubilee, and Kieran are working with the Texas Rangers to apprehend a serial killer who targets gay law enforcement officers. Because those men tend to be closeted, this guy has killed twelve of them before he was discovered. Now, Sean and Nicholas are in his sights as his future "partners". What looked to be a fairly cut and dry case, though, takes a decided one hundred and eighty degree turn, leaving the guys scrambling to get their killer.

Nicholas gets the lovely job of protecting a murder witness, Vincent, who thinks he's a vampire and insists on being called Prince Vlad. *snort* The cops were all very quick to put this down as Vincent having witnessed a mob hit. Nicholas is the first in law enforcement who actually listens to the guy and takes him seriously when he says it isn't the mob, it's a shadowy underground religious cult called the Righteous. The Righteous is one of those religious groups that picket funerals of fallen soldiers and say horrible things about homosexuality and sin. Ugh.

This was a good addition to the series. I got more information on Nicholas's family life and got to watch him work on some of his issues with commitment. Sean is still sweet, innocent, and naive, and madly in love with Nicholas. Kieran and Jubilee were as wonderful as ever and their little boy, Juan, is a doll. I like the family atmosphere that these guys all share. Looking forward to the next book.
